Story
My Dad
The most wonderful man taken by the most cruel disease
To watch dad slowly fade, to see him confused, sad and lost was truly heartbreaking
I lost and grieved for him twice. Once at diagnosis and again when I sat by his bed and he took his last breath
My dad gave me everything and now its my turn to give something back in his memory
There is currently no cure for Alzheimer’s and one will not be achieved without investment in research. Thats why I am doing everything I can to raise awareness and funds for The Alzheimer’s Society
I have signed up with another 4 very special people to walk 80km across the Sahara Desert. This in itself will be a huge challenge for me, but one Im doing to help make a difference
Please donate whatever you can and help us to raise as much money as we can. We really want to smash this target and make a difference
I miss you & think of you everyday dad. This ones for you ❤️
We're the "Forget Me Nots" a group of 5 individuals (friends and family) who are coming together to do something nuts, yet absolutely necessary.
4 of the 5 individuals have seen a parent or close family member succumb to Alzheimer's.
We are walking for 6 solid days, across the Sahara Desert in 35 degree heat - to raise awareness and funds to support research and support into Alzheimer's.
To live in a world of confusion and fear is terrifying, but, to live in a world where we still have hope and a willingness to succeed and we can come together and support is empowering.
We all pray for a world where parents don't forget their own children, children don't have to grieve twice for parents, young people are able to be around long after their diagnosis.....
Please donate whatever you can, the price of a cup of coffee, more if you can. Help us take this journey and watch out for our fundraising activities. “
