The Community Food Hub is feeding hundreds of local families, neighbours, and individuals facing tough times — with dignity, warmth, and love.

I’m Michelle Dornelly, founder of Children With Voices and lead for the Community Food Hub, based right here in Hackney.

Every week, we welcome families, older neighbours, and working people who are struggling to make ends meet.

We provide fresh fruit and vegetables, pantry staples, cooked meals, and a safe, friendly space where people are treated with dignity and kindness.

What started as a few food parcels during lockdown has grown into a vital part of community life — powered entirely by volunteers, donations, and love.

Why we need your help

This winter, the demand is higher than ever.

We’re seeing more people walk through our doors — parents skipping meals so their children can eat, elderly residents choosing between heating and food, and local workers caught in the cost-of-living squeeze.
