Walking The Thames Path National Trail - 185.2miles

Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma. We make it possible to live longer and better lives with myeloma. Through research and treatments, we find new ways to a cure. Together, we are the cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in September 2017 and in the following 7.5 years I have had lots of support from Myeloma Uk.

Throughout 2022 I walked the Ridgeway National Trail - 87miles, in 7 separate legs to raise money for Myeloma Uk. In total I raised around £6,500 in donations.

As I am still managing to stay well, thanks to two stem cell transplants and a raft of drugs I have decided to do another walk, this time the much longer Thames Path at 185.2miles. I have split this into 15 Legs the first if which I hope to complete on 17th February 2025 and the last on 20th July 2026 - it's over double the distance so I don't think 18 months is too bad!!

Many of my friends joined me last time, some doing all the legs and others dipping in for one or two legs. In total 34 people took part and the most on any one day was 16.

I'm very much hoping for similar support this time
