Story
Dear friends,
As many of you know, I now work for AtaLoss, a small charity making a big difference. AtaLoss provides vital signposting and support to people who are grieving — helping them find the right help at the right time, wherever they live in the UK. It's work that really matters, and I’m proud to be part of it.
We’re charity partners for the London to Brighton Cycle Ride on Sunday 14th September… and (somewhat optimistically) I signed up back in April, when September felt comfortably far away.
If you know me well, you’ll know I’m not exactly built for endurance events. So this is quite the challenge.
Since signing up, I’ve committed to early morning boot camps (surrounded by people far fitter, thinner, and younger than me), and Simon — who’s kindly agreed to ride with me — has been getting me out on the road for training rides. I even earned my first ever sports injury last weekend!
The route is 56 miles, and yes — I think I can do it. Just.
This may well be the first and last time I attempt anything like this — so I’d love your support. If you’re able to sponsor me, however large or small the amount, it would mean a great deal and will go directly towards supporting grieving people across the UK.
Thank you so much – and wish me luck!
Debs
