Hi everyone,

Id like to introduce myself. My name is Donna, I’m one of the carer’s at the twyford day centre. I am currently receiving cancer treatment and haven't been able to work for the last four months, i was hoping and really looking forward to returning back to work in September but today myself and our team received the devastating news that our centre is due to close on the 4th of September. Obviously we do not want this to happen and are trying everything to stop this. Hence why we have reached out to our locol community and surrounding areas for your support.

Our centre is not just a building, its a place where older people come together, make friends, enjoy activities, have a meal, receive support and most importantly feel valued and less alone, this centre is a lifeline to some of our members as it offers companionship, routine and for some families and carers gives them respite and totally peace of mind that there love ones are in a safe, supportive and well looked after environment .

Our team are even willing to cut our hours to help our financial situation. So every donation big or small would be extremely appreciated and could possible stop the closure of our much loved day centre.
