Story

After Covid as the world started opening we started to notice differences in Caleb which led to Caleb joining the pathway for an ASD diagnosis in June last year. Living in Stockton his diagnosis journey will be a long road. We are very fortunate to have access to amazing autism charities and now Caleb has reached an age to be able to attend sessions without mum and dad with Daisy Chain I wanted to help raise some funds for them.

I can run anything from 1-50 miles which isn’t really a challenge to get people supporting. In 2023 I decided to get back on a bike mainly so I can keep up with Caleb. This created my crazy idea for 2024.

Riding on the roads is a huge challenge as I’m not as fast as everyone else and a bit scared. So over 2024 I will be completing a series of challenges that scare me, get me uncomfortable and give me a tiny glimpse at what daily life is like for Caleb.

The challenge will contain a number of cycling sportives, time trials and hill climbs. The full list of challenges will be introduced shared once confirmed.
