My name is Deborah Johnson and I am running this year's Great North Run on 13th September 2026 to raise money for RainbowsGB, a wonderful charity that raises awareness of the impact of bereavement and loss on children and young people. The charity offers a range of services to support individuals who have experienced a significant loss through death, relationship breakdown or other adverse childhood experience (ACE).

Rainbows trains school staff to run tried and tested high quality support programmes which improve the self-esteem, mental health and emotional wellbeing of children and young people who have suffered from any form of trauma in their young lives.

The Charity also offers a Health and Wellbeing Programme which is suitable for all children throughout the Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage One and Key Stage Two.

All donations will go directly to the charity and will be used to provide essential services and support for these children.
