Story

As a family, we have done so many fundraising events for St Luke's. They are always such fun, achievable challenges, and a great way of showing our boys that we are fortunate to have good health while many others are not. We can all come together to help the hospice. Gone are the fundraising days of Teddy Bear Picnics and 1K strolls around lakes. Now I find myself agreeing to a 10,000 ft sky dive with my elder son, 19 year old Taylor. He has always wanted to do this, and for my part, I am clinging on to my youth. I decided to “take the plunge” with him although I fear that I’m taking the bigger risk as my 52 year old bones are somewhat more brittle than his!

Our fundraising began years ago as we simply wanted to help any way we could while enjoying new experiences together. As we age, however, we see more of the reality of the service that the hospice provides and how invaluable it is to people in need. We all know someone who has had a life-limiting disease and it is clear to see how vital the services of the hospice are to them and their families. The reality is that we are all likely to need it’s services at some point, either for ourselves or for someone we love. Please help us to raise as much as possible and donate as much as you can for St Luke's.

Make our 10,000 ft drop worth it!
