This fund raising event is particularly important as ‘Man and Boy’ faces its most challenging funding crisis to date. Ironically, this is at a time when the role of men and male role modelling has been highlighted in the program , ‘ Adolescence’ , Sir Gareth Southgate’s Dimbleby lecture and ‘ The Lost Boys’ report from the Centre for Social Justice. I will be cycling 20 miles to the site of the ‘Man and Boy’ summer camp venue, Ashburnham Place, Battle, where we hope to inspire other fund raisers by sharing stories of hope and change as well as seeing the venue.
