Hugo was a Trustee and Vice Chairman of St Luke’s hospice. His death in October has been a huge shock and loss - for me after 47 years together, for his family and so many friends and colleagues.

From the first annual fundraising walk in 1996 he was a key member of the Walks Committee and the Walking Club.

It will be a particular challenge to join this year’s walk for the first time without him but it is also a challenge to raise as much money as possible as a memorial to Hugo.

St Luke’s hospice (Harrow and Brent) is dependent on fundraising to provide end of life and palliative care in the hospice and people’s homes; only 40% of the cost is covered by NHS.
