I have been working for Action for family carers for 6 years now, I feel privileged to be working with these amazing youngsters.

As a charity, we run weekly clubs, giving the children a much-needed respite from their caring responsibilities. This enables them to spend time with children dealing with similar situations as themselves.

I am passionate about ensuring the few hours break from their caring role that they get with me, is filled with fun so they can be children at my clubs. I have witnessed the positive outcomes these clubs have on our young carers. This environment has a massive impact on their self-esteem and well-being, many of them have forged lasting friendships.
