Decant Takes on 72 Holes for Myeloma UK ⛳

DECANT GOLFERS is raising money for Myeloma UK

72 holes of golf

Macphie is proud to be partnering with Myeloma UK to raise awareness of multiple myeloma and generate vital funds to support the charity’s life-changing work.

Story

The Decant Department is taking on the challenge of playing 72 holes of golf in one day at Edzell Golf Club – West Water Course to raise money for Myeloma UK.

This is far more than a normal day on the course. We’ll be walking around 15 miles, spending up to 14 hours on our feet, and putting ourselves through a real test of endurance while trying to keep our swings together and raise as much money as possible for an amazing cause.

We’re doing this to support everyone affected by myeloma, a type of blood cancer. Every donation helps Myeloma UK continue its vital work funding research, supporting patients and their families, and campaigning for better treatments and care.

Of course, there are a few questions that need answering before we tee off...

Grant – Will he actually have enough golf balls to last all 72 holes, or will the trees, rough and hazards end up with their own collection by the end of the day?

Gary – Will he lose his voice before the finish after shouting “SITTTTTT!” at every golf ball that thinks it’s flying a little too far?

Peter – Will his legs hold out for the full 15 miles, or will we need to make room for him in the back of the golf cart for the final few holes?

Graeme – The oldest of the group, but don’t let that fool you… will he be the last man standing while the rest of us are running on empty?

There will no doubt be plenty of laughs, tired legs, lost golf balls, and maybe the odd questionable shot along the way. But every step, every swing, and every hole is being played to support a fantastic cause.

If you can spare a few pounds, we’d be incredibly grateful for your support. Every donation, big or small, will help make a real difference.

Wish us luck — we’re going to need it! Especially Grant’s golf balls, Gary’s voice, Peter’s legs, and anyone trying to keep up with Graeme! 😂⛳
