Why I’m doing this

I’ve experienced first-hand how much cancer can change your life, and it’s something that has stayed with me long after treatment.

I wanted to take on a challenge that would push me well outside my comfort zone while raising money for a cause that means a lot to me.

That’s why I’m walking roughly 850 miles from John o’ Groats to Land’s End over 50/60 days, carrying my own kit and mostly wild camping along the way.

There will definitely be days where I question why I thought this was a good idea, but if I can turn 50 days of discomfort into something that helps young people and families affected by cancer, it'll be worth every step.

When a child is diagnosed with cancer life becomes full of fear, for them and their family. Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, overwhelming money worries, of having nowhere to turn, no one to talk to.
