Story
On the 5th of August 2023, I lost my father to Motor Neurone Disease. This is possibly the most horrible disease with still NO cure.
As Daddy suffered with frontotemporal dementia he was not a suitable candidate for any interventions, I.e Feeding tube or non-invasive ventilation. This meant myself and my family had to sit and watch him fade away for 8 weeks. The devastation this has brought to us as a family is simply awful and cruel.
For those who know me would know that I am not a runner, but I wanted to push myself into something that would keep me focused on the lead up to my fathers 1st year Anniversary and keep my mind busy. I will be taking part in my local 10k in mid August and I will proudly be wearing my MND gear to raise awareness.
Every donation, big or small, would be a huge help. Also if any runners would like to help me with advice then please drop me a message.
Thank you and wish me luck 🙏
