As Captain of Sherfield Oaks Golf Club, we have chosen Basingstoke and District Young Carers as our nominated fund raising charity for 2026.

Basingstoke & District Young Carers supports 115+ young carers a week by providing essential respite activities to ensure that the young carers aged between 8 - 17 have the opportunity to take a break from their caring responsibilities.

To enhance the amazing efforts of the golf club members fundraising, I have committed to complete 12 physical activities in 12 months. This will commence with the Dorney Lake Half Marathon on 18 January and will be followed by future activities of varying type. I will self fund all activities and all money raised will go direct to the charity.
