Story
Our beautiful little Delilah was due on the 29th of January, I was 20 weeks and 4 days when I attended hospital experiencing pain to be told I was in labour, 3 hours later at 12.13 on th 15th of September Delilah Alba Oldershaw was born weighing 300 grams and measuring 26cm head to toe. She was perfect. She had her daddy’s wonky little fingers and her mummy’s toes, the most precious facial features down to her tiny little nose. Delilah was in cold cot allowing us to have time with our girl we wouldn’t have had without it.
The Abi Cooling Cot is a refrigerated unit that allows families to spend more time with their deceased baby than would otherwise be possible.
The cooling cot helps parents to bond with their baby and aids the grieving process. Since 2017, Abigail’s Footsteps, in partnership with The Bond Group, has delivered over 300 Abi Cooling Cots to hospitals and hospices across the UK and Ireland. In 2025, they even shipped five cots to Australia, because every family deserves this gift of time no matter where they are.
It is our mission to raise 3,000 to donate a cold cot in honour of Delilah to help another family who has unfortunately suffered the same traumatic loss.
Thank you for your support
