I have raised funds for various charities all my life.

As a kid I organised "rock nights" in the local community hall, raising funds to pay for the surgery of children in Africa or to provide food and medicine to animals in the local Rescue Shelters.

As an adult I have participated in Triathlons, hikes, 24hour "game-a-thons" and humiliated myself online to raise tens of thousands for mental health charities, Womens aid and animal rescue charities.

In 2022 I raised money and collected donations for Civilians trapped on the front line of the Ukraine War. Driving my own car filled with food, medicine, medical supplies, body armour and hygiene products for the edlerly - I met with Ukrainian volunteers in Kramatorsk and for 6 weeks I assisted in the evacuation of hundreds of souls from Bakhmut and other front line communities, all whilst under bombardment from Artillery and rockets. This is where I rescued my dog, after finding her owner - our friend - deceased in her garden after a strike on her home.

I have always done these things in honour of my mother, who passed when I was 13. A kind soul who believed in helping others where she could. In supporting those most vulnerable around her. Or my father. Who taught me bravery comes in many forms and that courage is simply doing the right thing, even when others aren't looking.

I have lost over a dozen friends and family to suicide. Some i was very close to, some not so close to. Every loss hit as hard. There is no shame in asking for help. But the help out there is often limited. I have always believed in Extern, who ran a crisis centre in my home of Derry for years - a service we desperately needed. Who provide help to those most vulnerable, those suffering with addiction, homelessness, fleeing domestic violence.

We have raised thousands for them before. I hope we can do it again.

Our first Fundraising challenge is the UK 3 Peaks - I hope to do this on the 11th of May.

Following that we want to do the Mourne Mountains and All Ireland Peaks challenge.
