ANDYSMANCLUB facilitates groups where men aged 18 and above can speak openly about their issues in a non judgmental environment through shared experiences. Groups run nationwide every Monday 7pm except bank holidays and are completely volunteer-led with no charge to any man.

Story

My name is Delkin, and I’m a 16-year-old from Chesterfield with a mission to make a difference. Growing up wasn’t easy for me; I struggled with severe anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and deep depression during my early teenage years. While I had support around me, I often felt overwhelming pressure to simply cope as a boy, which only intensified my challenges. I wish I had spoken out to get the help I truly needed, and I know many other young men feel the same way.

That’s why I support Andy's Man Club, a peer group for men over 18 to talk about their feelings and receive the support they need. With suicide rates at an all-time high—over 70% of suicides being men and 13% feeling there’s no way out—it's crucial to raise awareness.

In April, I plan to walk 100 miles to promote Andy's Man Club and support them with much-needed funding. I will share daily updates on my social media and here, along with a map of my walks. I won’t be doing this alone; I’ll have friends and family walking alongside me.

Last June, I walked 75 miles for Dementia UK and raised £1,250, making appearances on local radio and in newspapers to highlight my commitment to the charity.
