Story
In April next year, I’ll be running the London Marathon to raise funds for the Canon Collins Trust, a charity that changes lives through the power of education.
Across Southern Africa, so many bright, determined students dream of going to university but for too many, those dreams stop because they lack the financial means and support to get there. That’s where Canon Collins steps in. The Trust provides scholarships and educational opportunities to talented students, helping them access university and the chance to realise their full potential.
This cause is deeply personal to me. While studying in South Africa, I spent three years tutoring maths to high school learners from disadvantaged backgrounds and mentoring one student through her final year of school and university applications. I saw first-hand how access to education — together with belief and guidance — can completely change a young person’s life.
That’s what Canon Collins does — they help talented students believe in themselves, pursue their studies, and create brighter futures for themselves and the people they love.
Even the smallest donation can make the biggest difference, so if you can, please support my London Marathon run and help open doors for those who just need a chance to shine. 💛
