On 19th September 2026, I will be taking on a sponsored skydive to raise money for Anthony Nolan, a charity that means so much to me and my family.

I am doing this in memory of my brother, Kai, who sadly passed away in June 2026 after a year long battle with a rare and aggressive form of leukaemia. Throughout his illness, Kai faced every challenge with incredible courage and determination. He fought with every bit of strength he had and remained a warrior until the very end. He was and always will be, the bravest man I know.

Long before he became ill himself, Kai was someone who dedicated his time to helping others. He was a regular blood donor and giving back was simply part of who he was. Looking out for people, supporting those around him and putting others before himself came naturally to him. His kindness and generosity touched so many lives and I know that if he were here today, he would be the first person supporting a cause like this.

During Kai's treatment journey, our family experienced first hand the incredible work that Anthony Nolan does. When his original stem cell donor was unfortunately unable to donate at the last minute, the charity worked quickly and tirelessly to find another donor in America to avoid any further delays to his treatment. Although that donor was later unable to proceed for medical reasons, their efforts meant that there was still time for me to step forward and become Kai's stem cell donor in November 2025.

The transplant was successful and thanks to this amazing treatment and the dedication of the teams involved, we were given more precious time with Kai. Although his leukaemia eventually took over despite everyone's best efforts, those extra months are something our family will treasure forever.

This skydive is my way of honouring Kai, my brother, my hero and the strongest person I have ever known. Whilst also recognising the incredible work Anthony Nolan does every single day for patients and families facing similar battles.

Anthony Nolan gives people hope when they need it most. They work tirelessly to find stem cell donors, fund life saving research and support families through some of the most difficult times imaginable. Their work changes lives and gives families something priceless: time.
