Leukaemia Care supports anyone affected by leukaemia. Every day, 28 people in the UK are diagnosed. We offer information, emotional support and advocacy, so no one has to face leukaemia alone.

Story

As Musical Director of the Carnforth and District Choral Society, Dr David Lamper brings a deeply personal perspective to this season’s festive performances. A survivor of Hairy Cell Leukaemia—diagnosed first in 2003 and again following a relapse in 2010—David’s journey is a testament to the incredible advancements in medical research.

Now enjoying an active retirement, David is dedicated to giving something back and in 2026 he is channeling his creative energy into this year's Christmas concert on 13th December. The centrepiece of the concert is a brand-new Christmas Cantata composed by David who has generously donated all royalties to Leukaemia Care.

The Choral Society will also be donating proceeds from the concert to this very deserving charity, and we want to offer our supporters and audience the chance to show their own generosity by donating through this Just Giving page.
