Story

Climb for Freedom: Kilimanjaro 2025

This October, I’ll be taking on the challenge of a lifetime: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest peak and the world’s highest free-standing mountain. Over six gruelling days, with a team of 20 others, I’ll push for the 5,895m summit on Anti-Slavery Day, 18 October 2025.

We’re climbing for freedom.

We’re climbing for justice.

We’re climbing to support the work of International Justice Mission (IJM).

IJM is the world’s largest anti-slavery organisation. They:

• Rescue people from exploitation

• Support survivors

• Hold perpetrators accountable

• Strengthen justice systems

Before the climb, we’ll witness IJM’s work in Kenya, where they confront abuse of power and the exploitation of children.

I’ve been connected with IJM for over a decade and believe passionately in their mission. Inspired by God’s call to seek justice, IJM has already helped rescue more than 98,000 people. That’s my motivation to reach the summit — because every step is for freedom.

Every pound you give will go directly to IJM’s life-saving work.
