Marie Curie Hospice, Cardiff and the Vale provides expert care, guidance and support to people living with a terminal illness and their families

Story

“When there was no one there was you” From diagnosis, as a family, we can’t thank Marie Curie enough. They played such a vital role in caring and looking after Denise and supporting us all through this difficult time.

Denise thought so highly of all the carers and nurses and was so thankful for the service that they provided which was second to none. Instead of flowers during the funeral she wished for us to give something back to Marie Curie and the Hospice in terms of fundraising for such an amazing charity and cause.

I promised her I’d set this up and on behalf of all the Woodfin family if you could donate to this cause it would be greatly appreciated.

A blurb from the charity below.

Our nurses, doctors, therapists and social workers provide expert care and support both to the people staying with us at the hospice, and in the local community.

Each day at the hospice is special. By getting to know people as individuals, we help them do what is important to them whether thats getting out into the hospice garden to enjoy the views across the sea, having a beloved pet visit come to visit or sharing precious moments with their loved ones.

We need to raise £8,311 per day to run the hospice, so every penny counts. Thank you for helping to make sure more people with a terminal illness in Cardiff and the Vale get the care and support they need.
