The Situation in Lebanon

Dental Mavericks has been working with communities in Lebanon since 2017.

Right now, families across Lebanon are facing a devastating humanitarian crisis.

Recent escalation in the conflict has forced hundreds of thousands of people to flee their homes, with many leaving with nothing but the clothes they are wearing. Entire neighbourhoods have emptied overnight as airstrikes and evacuation orders spread across the country.

Many people are now living in schools, temporary shelters, cars, or even sleeping on the streets.

For those displaced, basic necessities such as clean water, hygiene supplies, and sanitary items are extremely limited. Without these essentials, the risk of illness and infection rises rapidly—especially for women and children.

Something as simple as a toothbrush or sanitary products can restore a small sense of dignity during an incredibly difficult time.

When families are forced to flee quickly, hygiene is often one of the first things lost.
