Story
Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,
I'm Nadia Duarte, and I'm not just your average dentist. For the past eleven years, I've poured my heart and soul into the Amber Valley Dental Practice, where every day I have the privilege of serving incredible patients alongside an amazing team. But beyond the routine check-ups and cleanings, there's a cause that's deeply personal to me: mouth cancer.
This year, I'm taking my commitment to raising awareness and supporting those affected by mouth cancer to the next level by participating in the IRONMAN 70.3 Bolton. It's not just about the physical challenge for me; it's about using this platform to make a difference in the lives of those battling this devastating disease.
Mouth cancer isn't just a statistic; it's a reality I confront daily in my practice. I've seen firsthand the toll it takes on individuals and their loved ones. That's why I'm dedicating my IRONMAN journey to raising funds for The Mouth Cancer Foundation, an organisation at the forefront of research, education, and support for those impacted by mouth cancer.
Every mile I swim, bike, and run will be fueled by the knowledge that together, we can make a difference. The "70.3" refers to the total distance in miles (113.0 km) covered in the race, consisting of a 1.2-mile (1.9 km) swim, a 56-mile (90 km) bike ride, and a 13.1-mile (21.1 km) run.
Your support means more than just a donation; it's a beacon of hope for those fighting this silent killer.
Join me in the fight against mouth cancer by donating today. Your contribution will not only propel me towards the finish line but will also bring us one step closer to a world where mouth cancer is no longer a threat.
Thank you for standing with me in this important cause.
With gratitude,
Nadia Duarte
