For over a century, Freckleton Brass Band has been bringing music, entertainment, and community spirit to audiences across Lancashire and beyond. As a volunteer-led community organisation, we are proud to provide live music at local events, support developing musicians, and offer opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy brass banding.

Like many community bands across the UK, the cost of keeping the music playing continues to rise. Instruments, music, uniforms, equipment, transport, rehearsal facilities, and supporting our junior players all require significant ongoing investment. To ensure the long-term future of the band, we are launching an exciting new initiative.

Introducing Der Freckle Steins – a Bavarian-style entertainment group combining traditional brass music, audience participation, Oktoberfest favourites, and family-friendly fun. Our goal is to perform at festivals, corporate events, beer festivals, private functions, and community celebrations, creating a new income stream that can be reinvested directly into Freckleton Brass Band.

To help us get this project off the ground and secure the future of the band, we are raising funds to invest in essential equipment, performance infrastructure, and ongoing band development. This includes:

Professional PA and sound equipment

Microphones, mixers, speakers and accessories

Performance equipment and staging requirements

Music stands, uniforms and presentation materials

Transport and event equipment

Training and development opportunities for players

Support for our Junior Band and future musicians

General running costs that help keep Freckleton Brass Band performing within the community
