Throughout February a team from Derby City’s Health Visiting service will be completing The Lullaby Trusts “100km Feb 50 Extra Challenge”.

The Lullaby Trust are dedicated to reducing the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) by funding the essential research required to support and promote safer sleep practice and guidance. The Lullaby Trust also provides vital bereavement support to those families in need, during the most challenging times.

Together, we can support both The Lullaby Trust and bereaved families by raising awareness of sudden infant death syndrome and sharing the latest evidence-based safer sleep recommendations.

As a team we will be completing the “100km Feb 50 Extra Challenge” by walking, running, cycling, and swimming - amongst other activities. We’re grateful for any support and encouragement you can give us, and any donations will go directly to The Lullaby Trust.

£50 could pay for:

• The bereavement helpline.

• Support a first time caller.

• Pay to train a health professional in safer sleep advice that is then passed on to hundreds of parents.

£300 could pay for:

• Support for two bereaved families on our Care of Next Infant programme.

• Supply a mattress monitor for their baby.
