"After a heavy storm a boy walked along the beach throwing washed up starfish back into the sea.

An old man watching him shouted, ‘There are too many of them. It won’t make any difference.’

As the boy picked up and threw another starfish back into the sea, he smiled and said, ‘It made a difference to that one".

Star Throwers is a local cancer support charity based in Wymondham, Norfolk that is dedicated to providing support for people with cancer and their loved ones.

They support people to become well-informed about their cancer and their treatment and provide wellbeing support through our information, lymphoedema support, complementary therapies, groups, nutrition workshops, and counselling.

Star Throwers provided my wife with a lot of support during the past two of three years whilst her sister was battling the disease. Her sister, Tracey, passed away two years ago and Star Throwers provided the understanding, the words and the presence that was very much needed. Last year I completed two cycling challenges to raise money for them and this year I have decided to tackle the Battersea Park Marathon in October.....again to raise much needed funds for this small but very active and vital charity.

I am also raising money for the Bliss Cavalier Rescue charity, and I am linking the two pages together......please feel free to donate to one or both causes!

Thank you in advance for any support you feel you can give, I fully appreciate there are so many causes looking for funds at all times.
