Story
Hi everyone,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I’m running the Great North Run this year to raise money for CHAS (Children’s Hospices Across Scotland) — which means I’ve voluntarily signed up to run a half marathon… despite not having run this distance in about 9 years. Yes, I’m questioning my life choices already.
But what better way to make my legs regret everything than by raising money for an incredible cause?
CHAS provides unwavering care and support to children who may die young, and to their families, all across Scotland. They help families through moments most of us can’t even begin to imagine — offering specialist care, precious respite, and emotional support during incredibly difficult times. They don’t just support the child, they wrap care around the whole family when they need it most.
So while I’ll be battling blisters, aching knees, and the strong temptation to stop at every snack van along the route, CHAS families are facing challenges far bigger — and that’s what will keep me moving.
Every donation, big or small, will help CHAS continue providing vital care and support to families who need it most. It really does make a difference.
If you can spare anything at all, I’d be hugely grateful — and I promise to think of you kindly when I’m struggling somewhere around mile 11 😅
Thank you so much for the support!
