In Loving Memory of George Skinner Thank you for visiting this page. Our family is hosting this fundraiser in memory of George Skinner of Strathorn Farm, who passed away on 21st April 2026 at the age of 87. George was a man of the land who believed deeply in the power of community. In 1997, alongside his colleagues Jim Arbuckle, Robert Maitland, and a dedicated committee from the Royal Northern Agricultural Society, he helped establish the Royal Northern Countryside Initiative (RNCI).

He was always the first to say that the RNCl's success was a shared achievement. He took immense pride in what they built together: a charity that connects thousands of school children across the North East with farming, food, and the environment every year. As a family, we want to honour George's spirit by ensuring this vital work continues. We would be grateful for any donations to the RNCI.
