Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page for the Dersingham Community First Responders.

Who We Are:

Community First Responders are professionally trained volunteers across the East of England who respond to life-threatening 999 calls in their communities. Often arriving before the ambulance, they provide critical, life-saving care until the ambulance crew arrives.

We are a dedicated team of volunteers here in Dersingham and surrounding villages, trained by the East of England Ambulance Service and supported by the East of England Ambulance Service Charity. We created this page to seek vital support from generous people like you to continue our life-saving work.

Our Commitment to the Community:

Our remarkable volunteers don’t just respond to emergencies - they also commit time to empower the community. They arrange CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) awareness training, host recruitment events, deliver educational talks, and participate in fundraising efforts. These initiatives raise awareness and ensure that we stay prepared to provide emergency support whenever and wherever it’s needed in and around Dersingham.

How Your Support Makes a Difference:

Here are some of the ways your donation could help:

Enhanced Training & Equipment:

Your support helps fund advanced training and provides critical equipment like medical kits, NMA phones (used for real-time dispatch and navigation), and uniforms, which equip our responders to save lives effectively.

Volunteer Recruitment & Awareness:

Donations enable us to recruit and train more responders by hosting community awareness events, which means better coverage and faster response times for 999 calls in your area.

Public Life-Saving Training:

With your help, we can offer free CPR and AED training to the community through the EEAST Heart Scheme, teaching vital skills that empower bystanders to act effectively in emergencies.

Realistic Training Aids:

Practice with advanced training aids prepares our responders for the varied and unpredictable scenarios they may face. This ensures they’re ready to act professionally, no matter the situation.

Every donation directly supports these initiatives, making it possible for us to continue this vital work. Your generosity can empower these selfless NHS volunteers who are here to help our communities in their time of need.
