Story
From March 1st to March 31st, the D.E.S. Group is walking to raise awareness for mental health.
Did you know?
1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem each year in England.
1 in 5 people report experiencing a common mental health problem (like anxiety and depression) in any given week in England
We believe that talking is a key part of managing stress and improving mental wellbeing. That’s why throughout March, each member of our team will be given an extra 30 minutes at lunch to take a walk and talk - about anything except work. These simple conversations help us connect, support each other, and promote better wellbeing throughout the day.
We invite you to join us in this important cause!
How You Can Help:
• Take a walk during March – whether it’s a stroll around the block or a hike in nature.
• Start a conversation that isn’t about work.
• Share our page to spread awareness.
• Donate to our JustGiving page and help make a difference!
We’re raising funds to support Accrington Stanley Community Trust, a local charity using the power of sport and community to support people through health, education, social inclusion and wellbeing programmes across the Hyndburn area.
