Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As I get older, I am determined to give back more whilst staying physically and mentally fit. At the ripe old age of 61, I have decided to take on the challenge of my first triathlon at the picturesque Blenheim Palace on Saturday 7th June, for two charities close to my heart.

If you are kind enough to support my efforts, can you please share your donation 50:50 between the charities - each with separate JustGiving pages. The charities are:

Billericay Foodbank - I have been volunteering at the Foodbank for nearly a year. They provide weekly food parcels to approx 100 families in need, in the Billericay area. The support from local businesses and a small team of dedicated volunteers is really humbling.

Prostate Cancer UK - an incredible 1 in 8 men in the UK will be diagnosed with prostate cancer. My father was diagnosed several years ago, and despite successful treatment and a long period of remission the cancer has returned aggressively and has spread to his bones. He is now receiving pallative care - it is really difficult to see what this cancer can do to a strong and healthy body.
