Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

With Guru Sahib’s kirpa, for over a year now we have been running Thai boxing classes at Somerset Road Gurdwara, creating a positive space for our sangat (especially youth) to build discipline, confidence, fitness and resilience.

We would now like to take the next step and improve the quality and safety of training by purchasing professional roll-out martial arts mats for the upstairs space. These mats will allow us to elevate the standard of Thai boxing classes, and also introduce Wrestling & Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) for both kids and adults throughout the week. The long term aim is to get our youth competing in competitions involving coaching from top instructors within each sport.

They will cover most of the upstairs Darbar Sahib area _(please note: Guru Granth Sahib Ji will not be parkash at the times of any classes)._
