This year, the Development Bank of Wales and FW Capital are raising funds for Maggie’s in memory of our much loved colleague, Dr Carl Griffiths, who sadly passed away in September 2025 following a short battle with neuroendocrine cancer.

Maggie’s meant a great deal to Carl. After chemotherapy, he would often visit his local Maggie’s centre, where he found a place to rest, refresh, and find kindness and holistic support when he needed it most. Several of our colleagues and their families have also benefited from Maggie’s care.

In Carl’s memory, we are fundraising through activities such as walking and cycling - two things he loved.

Maggie’s provides free practical, emotional and social support to people living with cancer, and their families.

Eleni, mae Banc Datblygu Cymru a FW Capital yn codi arian i Maggie’s er cof am ein cydweithiwr annwyl iawn, Dr Carl Griffiths, a fu farw yn drist ym mis Medi 2025 yn dilyn brwydr fer yn erbyn canser niwroendocrinaidd.

Roedd Maggie’s yn hynod bwysig i Carl. Yn aml, byddai’n ymweld â'i ganolfan Maggie’s lleol ar ôl triniaeth gemotherapi, lle cafodd le i orffwys, lluniaeth, cefnogaeth a sgwrs gyfeillgar pan oedd ei angen fwyaf. Mae hefyd nifer o’n cydweithwyr a’u teuluoedd wedi elwa o gefnogaeth Maggie’s.

Er cof am Carl, rydym yn codi arian drwy weithgareddau megis cerdded a beicio — dau beth roedd Carl yn eu caru.

Mae Maggie’s yn cynnig cefnogaeth ymarferol, emosiynol a chymdeithasol am ddim i bobl sy’n byw gyda chanser, a’u teuluoedd.
