Davenport Golf Club is proud to have chosen Ronald McDonald House Charities as its charity of the year, recognising the vital work they do, despite being largely reliant on donations and limited funding.

Ronald McDonald House Charities UK provides free ‘home away from home’ accommodation to families with children having treatment in hospital. Our Houses offer much more than just a place to stay; they provide family activities, peer support, respite, and many other services. This means that families can be by their child’s bedside in a matter of moments, whilst maintaining a degree of normal life with reduced emotional and financial strain.

The cause is especially meaningful to Lady Captain Michele, whose grandson was critically ill during which time her daughter and son in law, were able to stay at Ronald McDonald House in Manchester, and experience first hand the comfort and support it provides to over 6000 families each year in their most difficult moments.

Through our fundraising efforts, we hope to give back to this remarkable charity and to help ensure they can continue supporting families when they need it most.
