The Royal Signals Charity supports Regular, Retired and Reserve Signallers. We do this by providing benevolence grants to those facing distress or hardship. We support our community through grants that look to encourage comradery, corps history and education of our trades.

Story

The Royal Signals Charity is dedicated to supporting our 3R's as well as their dependents. We do this by providing benevolence grants to those facing distress or hardship. We support our community through grants that look to encourage camaraderie, corps history and education of our trades.

In 2024 the Royal Signals Charity supported our community with various grants and initiatives totalling more than £834,000; our benevolence grants alone exceeded £340,500. We directly supported 1,250 within our community and many more indirectly.

As a member of 16 Signal Regiment, 230 Squadron, I’m undertaking on a personal endurance challenge: running 230 miles over 31 days in March 2026. That means averaging over seven miles every single day, without rest days. It’s a test of endurance that will push me physically and mentally, but it’s a challenge I’m proud to take on.

My goal is to raise £1,000 for the Royal Signals Charity, but this effort goes beyond the miles or the fundraising target. Completing 230 miles will demand discipline, consistency, and resilience. Some days will feel easy, others will be a struggle, and there will be moments when stopping will feel tempting — but every mile will serve as a reminder of why this mission matters.

This challenge is about supporting a cause that genuinely makes a difference and proving that with commitment and determination, we can achieve far more than we think. Every run in March is a step toward helping those who rely on the charity’s support.

I invite you to stand with us in this meaningful cause. Your support — whether through donations or simply sharing the message — will help make a real impact. Together, we can uphold the values of compassion, teamwork, and solidarity that define our community.
