Diana, Dunc, Ross and Bryony have set themselves the challenge of completing the Pedal, Paddle, Peak event as a team along the Jurassic Coast at the end of September.

Cycling 40km, kayaking 3km along the coast, and then hiking 17km to finish. All in support of the 110,000 children and adults in the UK that live with a muscle-wasting condition.

A considerable amount of training will be needed for some of the team in order to actually complete the challenge! With sore knees, backs and general lack of fitness, it will be a summer of building up stamina and muscle to finish within the 9 hour limit.

But at least we have the opportunity to give it a go and push ourselves to get fit. In that respect we are the lucky ones as so many people are living with lifelong illnesses, and degenerative conditions that make even daily tasks feel like running a marathon.
