🚁 Walk Wales with James Hook – Supporting Wales Air Ambulance 🚁
On Saturday, 7 June 2025, I will be joining former Wales rugby legend James Hook on a 10-mile walk from Oxwich to Mumbles.
This scenic journey along the stunning Swansea coastline is not just a personal challenge but a mission to raise vital funds for the Wales Air Ambulance Charity.
Why This Matters
The Wales Air Ambulance provides advanced, life-saving emergency care across Wales, operating 24/7, 365 days a year.
As a 'mobile emergency department,' their helicopters and rapid response vehicles deliver critical care directly to those in need, often making the difference between life and death.
Remarkably, this essential service relies entirely on charitable donations to keep flying and saving lives.
Join Me in Making a Difference
Participating in this walk is more than just a physical endeavour; it's a commitment to supporting a service that has touched countless lives across Wales.
Every step we take and every pound we raise contributes to the £11.2 million needed annually to sustain this vital operation.
How You Can Help
Donate: Any contribution, big or small, brings us closer to our goal.
Share: Spread the word about this fundraiser to friends, family, and colleagues.
Join: If you're inspired, consider participating in the walk or the virtual challenge.
Participants who raise £50 will receive a Wales Air Ambulance t-shirt. Raising £100 earns you a medal, and those who reach £150 will be entered into a prize draw for an exclusive airbase visit.
Let's Walk Together for a Cause
This event is open to everyone—families, friends, and even furry companions.
With marshals guiding the route and the camaraderie of fellow fundraisers, it's set to be a memorable day.
Whether you're walking for personal reasons or to support the community, your involvement makes a significant impact.
Thank you for your support and generosity.
Together, we can ensure that the Wales Air Ambulance continues its life-saving missions across the country.
Every year they need to raise £11.2m to keep the helicopters in the sky and rapid response vehicles on the road.
The teams onboard, deliver advance critical care to patients across Wales 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
