At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year, that's the equivalent to one person every three minutes.

People associate dementia with old age and the condition is generally misunderstood. Although a cruel disease at any age, the truth is that dementia can start to develop much earlier in life and steal people’s golden years leaving them needing care from family much earlier in life.

As you all know Diane, our beloved Mum, Wife, Nanny, Sister, Aunty & friend sadly lost her long battle with Alzheimer's last week. We cannot express how much she was loved and will be missed by us all. In her loving memory, we, as a family wanted to try and raise some money for the Alzheimer's society to help them continue the fantastic work they are doing in the search for cure and for the support they offer all affected by this life destroying condition.

So for everyone who has asked about donations in Diane's memory, or just to help a great cause, please help and donate via this page

Once you donate, JustGiving will send your money directly to Alzheimer's Society. So it's the most efficient way to raise money, saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Let's take on dementia together. Please dig deep and help us fight for a world without dementia.
