In March this year, as you may know, I lost my wee brother, Stuart to Cancer. He was only 39 and had so much life and potential ahead of him.

Stuart spent his final days at Ayrshire Hospice, Cumnock. The staff provided Stuart with comfort, humour and respect. They joked with him and even offered him a beer and a McDonalds! They decorated his room so that he could have a birthday celebration with his daughter, Lucy.

The staff looked after me and my family, offering never ending cups of tea, chats and hot food.

I would like to thank the staff at the Ayrshire Hospice for going above and beyond and giving us happy memories. Please help me say thank you by sponsoring me to complete the half marathon in the Great Scottish Run in Glasgow, 1st October. Everyday I think of Stuart as I train and his cheeky smile gets me through the gruelling long runs. Thank you, from me and my family.
