Story
I'm running the London Marathon 2026 for The Children's Society — and this one means a lot!
I ran the marathon a few years ago, when I was fitter, faster, and ran with ease. Life looked a little different then. Now, as I approach my 50th birthday and navigate the wild ride that is perimenopause, I’ve decided it’s time to do something bold, meaningful, and full of heart.
So here I am — lacing up my trainers once again to run 26.2 miles for children who are facing some of the toughest challenges imaginable.
The Children's Society fights for hope and a better future for vulnerable young people in the UK. With mental health struggles, abuse, exploitation, and poverty affecting far too many children, this cause couldn't be more urgent or personal.
Running this marathon is not just about the finish line — it’s about showing that no matter where we are in life, we can still show up, push boundaries, and make a real difference.
Please support me if you can. Every donation, every cheer, every share helps make a better future for our children — and reminds me why this challenge is worth every step.
Thank you 💜 Diane x
