St John's Hospice China Trek 2026

SJH China Trek 2026 · 5 September 2026 to 20 September 2026 · Start fundraising for this event
Tyler, Mason and I have decided to take on this challenge in memory of my much-loved dad (Grandad), who sadly passed away 3 years ago now from prostate cancer. Although dad never went into the Hospice, we did benefit from their amazing community nurses, as we cared for him at home in his remaining days. They were amazing ladies who were extremely caring, compassionate, understanding and supportive to the whole family. We cannot believe that they get so little Governmental financial support towards their yearly running costs - so it is truly amazing that next year they celebrate 40 years since they opened their doors.
The trek is graded as 'challenging', requiring a good level of fitness as the trek involves varied terrain with some tough long trekking days.
As a family we have decided to self-fund the cost of the trip (we do not feel comfortable asking for people to donate for our travel expenses), however we do need to match the cost of the trip with sponsorship from our amazing family and friends - so ALL the money that we do raise will 100% go to St Johns. The collective figure, as a party of 3, is just shy of £6,000.00.
Please note: This Just Giving page is a joint page for our collective fund raising.
