Copenhagen Half Marathon 2025 · 14 September 2025 ·

This September, a team of Sport in Mind runners will take on the Copenhagen Half Marathon – weaving through the historic streets and vibrant atmosphere of Denmark’s capital.

Story

On September 15th, I'm running the Copenhagen Half Marathon. As many of you already know I first started running in 2017 having avoided sport for most of my life. I never intended to run more than 5K, but the kilometres crept up and my running journey has led me to run half marathons and even, a marathon! Running has helped me to get fitter and stronger, but more importantly it supports my mental health and is always a positive for me, whether I am running alone or with a friend, (thanks Pauline for always being a listening ear and suffering the rant of the day!).

Running events is such a privilege and I decided to use the privilege to raise some funds for this amazing and important cause. If you are able to donate a few pounds it will be much appreciated by me and the Sport in Mind charity. Thank you.

I'm running to support Sport in Mind, the UK’s leading mental health sports charity. Every step and every pound I raise will help transform lives through sport and physical activity, promoting mental well-being and creating lasting, positive change for those facing mental health challenges.

Sport in Mind delivers free, supportive physical activity sessions in local communities across the UK – helping people improve their mood, build confidence, and connect with others. With mental health more important than ever, the work this charity does is life-changing.

By supporting us, you’re helping make a real difference. Whether you’re donating, cheering us on, or sharing my page, your support means the world. Together, we can break down the stigma around mental health and empower more people to take that first step towards recovery.
