Story
On Saturday 18th July, we will be completing an 8 mile walk in memory of our beautiful mum/wife Diane. Mum was diagnosed with Stage 4 liver cancer in January last year and sadly passed away on 27th September 2025. From the moment she was diagnosed, St Catherine’s hospice were fantastic. Anything my mum needed they would do their best to help with and in the later stages this is where she came to the end of her life. The care my mum received was outstanding and she was made to feel as comfortable as possible in what became her home away from home. The support we also received as family at the end and in time since has been wonderful. We will always be eternally grateful for everything they did for mum. Unfortunately, the hospice requires £12 million to run every year and shockingly they only receive £4 million from the government meaning they must self fund the other £8 million! This is why we want to keep mum’s memory alive and try to raise some money for this amazing hospice. The work they have done and continue to do is vital to so many, and makes the hardest moments in someone’s life possible. So please we ask for you to give whatever you can big or small, as we can honestly say we know first hand this will help a lot of lives! If you would like to join us in the walk please also get in touch. Many thanks, Tim, Natalie and Charlotte x
