Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.

Story

On 23/12/2024 it will be 10 years since John died from Meningococcal septicaemia. He is always in mine and the boys hearts and thoughts. I am taking on this challenge throughout the year to honour him and raise some money for MRF so that he did not die in vain. He was a passionate GP and I think he would want me & the boys to encourage people to be more aware of Meningitis and any illness that could be prevented.

Meningitis Research Foundation has been a great support to us for which I am very grateful. I have been involved with MRF for the past 9 years as an Ambassador and will continue to be so, please support the charity.

For me this 1000 miles will be a challenge because it will make me consistently get on my bike and exercise come rain or shine!!
