My name is Dick Cumming.I am supporting my friend Ashley Jones who is fighting Stage 4 Prostate Cancer.This is his story.

I’m riding over a 100 miles with some close friends to raise £10,000 for Prostate Cancer UK. I’ve been fighting stage 4 Advanced Prostate Cancer but I want our children including my son Owen and grandson Harry to benefit from a national screening programme so they don't go through the s**t I did. I survived, but only because I caught it just in time as another 6 months and my condition would have been terminal.

I’ve lost 3 friends during my treatment - Martin Green, Mike Digling & Gary Hughes through Cancer & I do this gruelling 120-mile plus ride in their memory. All 3 of them fought bravely with all they had, but it just wasn’t enough. Early detection would have saved them - I have to do my bit.

Between the 13th & 15th of September I and others will ride over 120-miles from Worcester RFC to Cwmavon RFC, stopping overnight at Hereford RFC & Brecon RFC. I’ve selected Friday the 13th as a starting date to signify ‘bad luck’ for Prostate Cancer - simply put, I need your help to make the wish of a screening programme come true.
