Cycling from Wallingford to Bradford for Christians Against Poverty

Didcot and Wallingford CAP Debt Centre is raising money for Christians Against Poverty

Cycling from Wallingford, Oxfordshire to The CAP Support Hub Bradford

Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is a UK-wide, church-based movement offering whole-person support to people in their toughest financial storms, such as unmanageable debt, unemployment and chronic low income. Every day, local churches are reigniting hope and sharing the love of Jesus in action.

Story

2026 marks 30 years of CAP working with local churches helping people out of poverty and into a new future.

In this time 35,000 people have become debt-free and over £500 million of debt has been paid back or written off.

In 2015 Didcot and Wallingford Area CAP Debt Centre was launched. To date we have seen 113 clients, and counting, become debt-free.

Gareth is aiming to raise money for CAP (National Charity) by cycling from Wallingford in Oxfordshire to CAP Head Office in Bradford w/c 21st September 2026 in under 30 hours (approx. 330 km)

Gareth Lloyd-Jones is Senior Pastor of Ridgeway Community Church and a founding trustee of our local Debt Centre.
