Story
A team from the Digby Brown Glasgow office are taking on a 16-hour endurance fitness challenge to raise vital funds for the office’s charity partner of the year, Richmond’s Hope, a charity that provides support for children and young people aged 4–18 who have been bereaved. And it’s going to be tough!
Across the full 16 hours, four machines will be in constant use, kindly provided by PureGym:
- Two spin bikes
- One rowing machine
- One treadmill
The challenge will be completed by four teams of four, working in a rotating relay. Each team will take on one hour of activity, followed by three hours of rest, before jumping back in again. This cycle will continue throughout the day and night until the full 16 hours are complete.
Every participant will spend one hour on each machine, pushing themselves physically and mentally while supporting and encouraging their teammates along the way. By the end of the challenge, the team will have clocked up 16 hours of continuous movement, with the machines in constant use and each hour pushing the team to their limits!
Meet the team taking on the challenge:
David Nellaney, Damian White, David Wilson, Diane Cooper, Ryan Connelly, Hannah Keir, Katherine Lafreniere, James Stephen, Neil Wright, Megan Downie, Robert Black, Scott Cathro, Kate Boyle, Megan Duff, Louise McCulloch, Steven Edmond.
The motivation behind the challenge is to raise funds for an important cause, with every donation, big or small, helping to support the incredible work carried out by Richmond’s Hope.
A huge thank you to PureGym for generously providing all of the equipment and to JMC Physiocures for providing physiotherapy support to keep the team moving throughout the challenge.
Thank you for your support
