Story
Tonic Music for Mental Health is a charity based on the south coast of England. They offer tailored mental health training and support for artists, crew, industry professionals and music fans.
Tonic Music was founded in 2012 upon the belief that participation in music is good for mental health. From initial work raising awareness, Tonic Music now champion action, achieved by providing mental health support to ensure people continue to professionally and recreationally engage in music.
I am running the Great North Run, along with my parents, in memory of Zac who was an incredibly talented individual who always had an affinity for music, writing and producing his own songs under the name 'Coalface'. I am running to raise money for Tonic Music and to spread awareness for musicians, like Zac, who struggle with mental health. By supporting this cause we celebrate Zac's love for music and what an amazing friend and person he was.
